Daniel Storto | The world's leading master glovemaker known for his distinctive old-world hand-tailored gloves. --With a historical collection of over 10,000 gloves and the world's largest archive of glove-making tools, his priceless collection of equipment, most of which date back to the 1700s, acquired from former high fashion glove firms in Grenoble France. Once the glove-making capital of the world where every major fashion designer had their gloves produced. Storto is breathing life into a tradition that has all but disappeared. "To be a glove maker you need the right tools." These tools enable him to craft the most beautiful gloves in the world using techniques that have stood the test of time.

Mr. Storto's gloves are in the permanent collections of The Metropolitan Museum of Art New York City and The Royal Ontario Museum Toronto Canada
In 2001 Mr. Storto re-created all the gloves for the Jacqueline Kennedy | The White House Years exhibit for The Costume Institute Met Gala in New York City.
Mr. Storto's gloves have been featured in American Vogue in numerous issues including on the iconic cover of Mr. Irving Penn's last cover for Vogue featuring Nicole Kidman May 2004.

Since 2001 Mr. Storto opened STORTO The Glove Shop the only one of it's kind in North America located in historical downtown Gloversville New York or visit his atelier in a former children's glove factory where you can observe the master at work all strictly by appointment.
